How Movie Stars Live Their Lives

We all get excited we see a movie star and they wave back and smile, but you really have to wonder how they really live and if their lifestyle is restrictive.

A great majority of US celebrity stars live in Hollywood, so you can occasionally see them out shopping, or eating in a café or attending a movie premiere. But how do they live their lives away from the public eye? They seem to have it all; fame, money, and an exclusive movie star address in the Hollywood hills, but are they happy?

Being movie or TV stars in Hollywood would not be easy. One of the main tourist attractions there is taking a mini bus cruise around star studded neighbourhoods to check out their houses. Now you don’t get to see a lot because of high fences and brick walls, but still you get fairly close because the roads are so narrow. It would be very difficult for these stars to take their dog out for a walk, as an example, because they could be hounded for an autograph. The only real privacy they get is by staying inside their compound.

We all expect our movie stars to look great when we see them, so they are constantly on show. No going to the shops looking grubby wearing a track suit and ugg boots, although some of them manage to get away with it.

Imagine going out for dinner and everyone watching what you eat and how you eat it? If a movie or TV star has too much to drink, we all know about it very quickly. The other issue they have to put up with in restaurants is fans continually asking for their autograph. The majority of them smile and are obliging, but they must feel frustrated with the intrusion into their privacy.

Some Hollywood movie stars have real issues when it comes to taking their children to and from school. Some of them have to have a bodyguard to make sure their children are safe. This would be an uneasy life for a child, knowing that they can never be left on their own. Too many stars are worried that their children will be kidnapped.

Being a US movie star would have its’ drawbacks, but there must also be a great sense of achievement knowing that you’ve excelled in your craft. A movie star is always expected to act like a “star” and when they don’t live up to our expectations we feel all dejected. What we have to remember though, is that underneath all the glamour and hype is a real person just like you and I. They have feelings just like we do, but the difference is that we are not required to put on a performance every time we’re out in public.

Movie stars and TV stars are there to entertain us, and their contribution to our lives is immeasurable. We should appreciate what they give up to be a Hollywood star and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
